https://youtu.be/wnyojPTYtvgWelcome to week 10 of our Healthy Holidays Blog series where we are helping you stay on track with your health while still enjoying your favorite holiday treats this holiday season!I hope you all had a great Christmas (or at least a day off!) this past weekend! In week 9 we discussed tips to make your New Year’s Health goals last long term this holiday season. This week we are adding to this to really ensure your New Year’s Resolutions become part of your healthy lifestyle long term! With the New Year coming up in just a couple days, many of us have been taking that minute to sit, think and decide what we want to accomplish or improve upon during the coming year! Many times we set these intentions with great motivation and positivity, but as soon as things get a little tough, our positivity and motivation disappear and so do our great intentions! This week we have tips for you to incorporate the crucial component of a positive mindset in making your New Year’s Resolutions last!

  1. Be Mindful! It is so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and put our health resolutions to the wayside. Take time to be mindful of ways you can incorporate your resolutions into your life and be aware of the mentality you face this challenge with. If you start to lose your positivity, identify it and remind yourself the importance of staying positive!

  1. Positive Affirmations! Write out a list of positive affirmations about yourself and in relation to your health resolutions and keep them on hand. When you start to notice your positivity slipping, go back to this list and use it to re-inspire yourself!

  1. Positive Accountibility! Find a friend, family member, or significant other to develop an accountability partnership with. Even if your goals are not the same, if you notice your accountability partner starting to lose their positivity or motivation for their resolutions remind them how important their goals are and re-boost each other’s positivity!

  1. Set Checkpoints Throughout the Year- At each of these checkpoints reward yourself with a fun activity or time spent with people that matter most to you to keep the positivity flowing until these resolutions become a natural part of your lifestyle!

The power of positive mindset is incomparable. Whether it is working toward long term healthy lifestyle changes or even reaching other life, business, or relationship goals, positive mindset can be the key difference that allows you reach your goals! Put that positive energy out there even when you are disheartened and you will be that much closer to succeeding with your health and quality of life in 2018!Do you have anything you do to maintain your motivation and positive mindset in order to reach your long term?I hope you have enjoyed our healthy holiday blog series!
